Healthcare Services
“Healing Words, Caring Hands, Touching Hearts.”
Healthcare at WASIL Welfare Trust began as a single clinic — a modest space where doctors volunteered their time and medicine was dispensed with compassion. Today, it has evolved into a center that offers free or affordable primary care, selected specialist consultations, diagnostic services, and field outreach programs — touching many lives every year.
From its inception, WASIL's healthcare mission has been rooted in the belief that healing is not just a clinical act but a sacred service. Every prescription written, every diagnosis delivered, every surgery performed carries the spirit of mercy and care that defines the WASIL ethos.

A Sanctuary of Hope
WASIL's vision is to establish a healthcare system that transcends clinical excellence to become a sanctuary of hope. Through a continuum of services — from free OPD consultations and specialist care to outreach camps and preventive health education — WASIL aspires to make quality healthcare a right, not a privilege.
OPD provides free primary care consultations, diagnostics, and medication to underserved communities.
Specialist Clinics provide selected specialist cover by volunteer doctors, tailored to the needs of the community.
Outreach Medical Camps bring healthcare directly to villages and schools that lack medical infrastructure.
Preventive Health Care integrates awareness, education, and early intervention across all programs.
OPD (Outpatient Department)
The Foundation of Accessible Healthcare
The OPD is the backbone of WASIL's medical services. Open to all, it offers free consultations, basic diagnostic tests, and essential medications. The OPD ensures that no one is turned away due to financial inability.

- General medical consultations and checkups
- Treatment for common illnesses and chronic conditions
- Diagnostic tests and lab services

Comprehensive Specialized Care
Beyond general consultations, WASIL has expanded into specialist care, ensuring patients have access to a wide array of medical fields without long waits or exorbitant costs. Each clinic operates with qualified practitioners who volunteer or work at subsidized rates.

- Other specialist clinics as available through volunteer specialists
- Future services, such as dental care, subject to feasibility and approval

Ophthalmology & Eye Care
A Department Built on Vision
The Ophthalmology Department, launched in 2025, brings essential eye care to underserved communities. With surgeries planned from early 2026 and a WIHAS-supported technicians course beginning the same year, the program is strengthened through school screenings and village outreach camps — ensuring early detection and accessible treatment for those who need it most.
Key Developments
- Ophthalmic department launched in 2025.
- Eye surgery began in early 2026.
- Ophthalmic technicians course planned through WIHAS from 2026, building future support for eye services.
- School Health Programme in selected schools helps with early detection of health issues, including vision problems.
- Field medical camps held in selected villages at a frequency of two per month during 2025–2026.

Outreach Medical Programme
Bringing Care to Every Doorstep
WASIL understands that healthcare must reach those who cannot come to it. Through its Outreach Programme, WASIL brings medical camps to remote villages, schools, and underserved areas — ensuring that geography is not a barrier to care.
Programme Highlights
- Village Medical Camps: General consultations and basic services in rural areas.
- School Health Programme: Health checks in schools across selected villages.
- Emergency Response: Health services aligned with WASIL’s Calamity Assistance plans where feasible.

Preventive Health Care
Prevention Over Cure
WASIL's healthcare model prioritizes prevention over cure. By educating communities and integrating early intervention strategies, WASIL reduces the burden of chronic and preventable diseases.
Key Focus Areas
- Community health education and awareness on common health issues.
- School Health Programme to support early identification of health problems in children.
- Telehealth and preventive health care programmes initiated as part of the five-year plan.
- Telemedicine pilot launched in 2025, with services consolidated over 2026–2027.

Integration & Growth
Building a Unified Health Campus
WASIL's strategic planning for 2028–2029 includes the physical and operational integration of healthcare, education, and social services on a unified campus. This will enhance coordination and provide holistic care.

Incorporation of the WIHAS Allied Health Sciences building into the clinic (2028).
Absorption of the Harmain Special Children School building into the clinic (2029), bringing services onto a shared site.
Review and improvement of diagnostic lab facilities as part of the long-term plan.
