Primary Health Care

Wasil Medical Center, a 6000 sq ft Medical Facility, at around 60kms from Islamabad, was inaugurated in the month of May 2021. The facility is at the confluence of twenty major villages with a population of a million plus. It is an Outdoor Facility that operates Monday to Saturday from eight in the morning to four in the evening. In case of emergency, the resident staff provides necessary medical support during off hours also. The facility is certified by Punjab Health Department. It has the following departments:
Pharmacy.
Has a sufficient range of basic medicine to cater for the clinic’s needs. We provide free medicine to deserving patients, which make up more than 90 percent of our patient load.
Diagnostic Facilities.
The clinic has a state-of-the-art laboratory that can handle more than 100 tests, including blood chemistry. In addition, it has X-rays, Ultrasound, ECG, and endo/Colonoscopes.
Holding Area.
It has a small ward that can hold up to ten patients for observation or treatment.
Minor OT.
A basic OT facility for first aid and initial management of accident trauma cases before they can be dispatched to the Tertiary Care Facility. An Ambulance has been procured for shifting critical patients whenever required.
Daily operations.
The clinic has an MBBS resident, Lady Doctor, with twenty years of experience. A paramedical staff of five supports the operations of the clinic.

In addition to daily service by the general practitioner, the clinic arranges specialist clinics twice a month of the following specialties:
a. Psychiatry
b. Endocrinology
c. Gynae/Pedes
d. Dermatology
e. Pulmonology
Achievements
The clinic played a significant role during COVID-19 when it served as the regional vaccination hub by administering 10534 vaccines. The daily patient flow since May 21 is averaging 60, mostly women and elderly folks.
The average monthly free medicine provided is to the tune of $2000 US, and nearly the same is the expense of lab tests.

The population of these villages is more than 1.5 M . The clinic charges a parchi fee of Rs. 100 only for deserving patients and their medical is free. A patient who claims not to have funds is entertained without questions. Affording patients pay their fees at heavily subsidized rates.
